The Rockets Alumni Foundation 15th Annual Golf Tournament was a sold out success on Friday morning as former and current players, coaches, scouts, management as well as sponsors and fans headed out on the Harvest Golf Club in a Texas scramble event.
Scotiabank kicked off the day with a $15,000 matching donation after Thursday night's auction events at the VIP
Reception raised thousands of dollars.
Final fundraising totals won't be known until Monday. The Rockets Alumni Foundation has committed to raising $100,000 over the next three years for the Canucks Autism Network.
The Scotiabank Kelowna Daily Courier Rockets Alumni Foundation golf tournament is in its 15th year with dozens of former players and coaches in attendance including Shea Weber, Josh Gorges, Ryan Huska, Tyler Spurgeon, Vern Fiddler, Nolan Yonkman and Tyson Barrie.
All money raised will stay in Kelowna and go towards helping children with autism enter hockey programs.
