Laval Rocket News Release

HERSHEY - To conclude their road trip, the Laval Rocket came back from behind multiple times but ultimately fell 6-3 to the Hersey Bears at Giant Center on Saturday night.

No matter the circumstances, Sylvain Lefebvre's troops kept fighting back against the dominant Bears. After giving Hershey an early power play and giving up the first goal of the game, Nikita Korostolev tied things up for the Rocket with his first goal in the AHL with an assist from goaltender Charlie Lindgren, who made 32 saves in the loss. Hershey came back with their second of the night less than a minute after Korostolev's goal, but Adam Cracknell tied things up by the end of the first with his 27th of the season on the power play.

Hershey came out strong to start the second period and added two more goals in the opening eight minutes to take a 4-2 lead, but Laval responded with a breakaway goal from Antoine Waked to bring the gap to one.

Though they came close to scoring the game-tying goal before the period ended, they fell just short of sliding a fourth puck behind Pheonix Copley. The third period saw the Bears secure their victory with an early power play goal from Mathias Bau and an insurance goal from Hampus Gustafsson at the 13:25 mark.

The Laval Rocket will head back home to face the Rochester Americans on Wednesday April 4 at Place Bell.
