
Jets Recall Sami Niku from the Manitoba Moose

Winnipeg, MB - The Winnipeg Jets announced today that they have recalled defenceman Sami Niku from the Manitoba Moose.
Niku, 21, is in his first season in North America and has played 71 games for the Moose, recording 52 points (15G, 37A) and a plus-18 rating. The native of Haapavesi, Finland is tied for the AHL lead in points by a defenceman (52) and tied for second in goals by a blueliner (15).
Niku was drafted by the Jets in the seventh round (198th overall) in the 2015 NHL Draft.
