
Rockers Look for Series Sweep Versus Dock Spiders

Ashwaubenon, Wis. - The Green Bay Rockers take on the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders for the final time this regular season Friday, with first pitch set for 6:35 p.m. from Herr-Baker Field.
The Rockers aim for the series sweep over the Dock Spiders after winning Thursday night's contest at Capital Credit Union Park 7-3 behind four RBIs off the bat of Griffin Stevens.
Stevens led the way offensively for the Rockers, with his two-run home run over the right field wall giving the Rockers an early 2-0 lead after the first.
Clayton Slack also added two RBIs and went 2-3 in all while Tristin Garcia went 2-4 himself and got multiple hits in a game for the 27th time this season.
Tommy Leonzi earned the win for Green Bay on the mound, pitching the first five innings while giving up just two runs on two hits with two walks and five strikeouts, handing him his first win of the season.
Kyle Stoddard then pitched the final four innings earning the save, while giving up just one run on four hits with two walks and four strikeouts.
As for Friday's game, the Rockers will give the ball to Aaron Heger who enters this matchup with an 0-1 record and a 10.13 ERA, after he last pitched against Wisconsin Rapids on July 30.
The Dock Spiders will start Joshua Culliver who comes in with a 1-1 record and a 7.16 ERA, with this appearance being his second straight against the Rockers.
The Rockers will remain on the road following Friday's matchup as they'll travel to Wisconsin Rapids for a two-game series at Witter Field. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. on Saturday.
