Rock Cats Set Attendance Mark in New Britain

The New Britain Rock Cats set a new attendance mark tonight when they entertained their 18th Sellout Crowd of 2007. When 7,348 fans came to watch their favorites battle the Akron Aeros at New Britain Stadium tonight, the throng smashed the New Britain franchise record for highest number of Sellouts in a single season. The previous high - 17 - was established in 2005 and then matched in 2006.

To date, the Rock Cats have had 52 Openings in 2007 and attracted a total of 269,686 fans. This averages to 5,186 patrons per game; if sustained, this too would be an all-time franchise record.

The big crowd saw the Rock Cats lose to Akron, 7-2.
