New Britain, CT - Bowie catcher Adam Donachie had three hits and knocked in four runs to lead the Baysox to a 5-2 win over the Rock Cats on Sunday afternoon.

Bowie took an early lead in the top of the second when a throwing error by Rock Cats third baseman Danny Valencia allowed leadoff man Ambiorix Concepcion to reach first base safely. Miguel Abreu followed with a double. Rock Cats starter Ryan Mullins buckled down to retire the next two batters, but allowed a two-run single to right field off the bat of Donachie for a 2-0 Baysox advantage.

The Rock Cats cut the lead in half with an RBI single by Rene Tosoni that scored Whit Robbins, who had started the inning off with a double to right field.

The Baysox added two more runs in the fourth on an RBI double by Donachie and a sacrifice fly by Rodolfo Cardona that scored Dave Krynzel to put the lead at 4-1.

Jeff Christy knocked in Matt Moses, who reached base on a double, for another Rock Cats run in the fifth to cut the lead in half again, 4-2. Bowie answered back again in the sixth when Donachie's double to center field scored Krynzel.

Fredy Deza (2-2) limited the Rock Cats to two runs on four hits through five innings. Ryan Rodriguez notched his first save of the season with two scoreless innings in relief in which he did not allow a hit.

Mullins (3-7) scattered six hits for four runs - two earned - through 4 1/3 innings. Alex Burnett added 2 1/3 hitless innings in relief as he continues to impress since arriving from Single-A Ft. Myers.
