TODAY'S TWIN BILL: After rain washed away the series opener Friday, the Red Wings will get their 8-game homestand underway on Saturday against the Columbus Clippers (Indians) at 5:05 p.m. in game 1 from Frontier Field. Game 2 will follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game 1... Rochester enters Saturday's action after splitting a 4-game series with Toledo and splitting their 8-game Western Division road trip, 4-4... The Wings and Clippers alternated wins and losses in their 4-game set last week in Columbus with the Clippers taking the finale 3-2 on Sunday... Rochester is 5-6 since their season-high 4-game winning streak, April 24-27, and sit 7.5 games back of Buffalo and Pawtucket and in T-4th place in the IL North.

LET'S PLAY TWO: Saturday will mark the 3rd doubleheader of the season for Rochester and 2nd at home. The Wings are 1-3 in doubleheader games this season after being swept by Pawtucket at McCoy Stadium on 4/13 and splitting a twin bill on 4/21 vs the Paw Sox at Frontier Field... Last season, the Wings went 6-6 in 6 doubleheaders (1 sweep, 1 swept & 4 splits).

-Strangely, the 6th inning has plagued Rochester in twin bills this season... The Wings have allowed 15 runs in the 6th inning in 4 doubleheader games.

THE LAST TIME OUT...:

-Rochester suffered their worst defeat of the season (10 runs)...Previous worst was 4/15 vs. SWB (10-1 loss)

-Wings pitching allowed a tied for season-high 12 runs for the first time since Opening Day (12-7 loss @ BUF)

-The 6-run 6th inning was the third 6-run inning allowed by ROC this season and first since PAW's 6-run 9th inn on 4/22

-Liam Hendriks' 6 runs allowed was the most runs allowed by a Red Wings starter this season

VS. THE CLIPPERS: Rochester split a 4-game series with the Clippers last week in Columbus as the two teams alternated wins and losses... In that series, Rochester hit .271 as a team and cranked out 7 HR at Huntington Park while the pitching staff posted a 3.71 ERA (14 ER/34.0 IP) in the series... The Red Wings won the 2012 season series against Columbus 6-2 -- including taking 3 of 4 from the Clippers at Frontier Field. The Red Wings season series win in 2012 was their first against Columbus since 2009 when they went 5-3. Since 2003, Rochester is now 41-43 against Columbus including a 19-20 mark at Frontier Field.

-The trio of Chris Colabello, Jeff Clement and Clete Thomas torched Clippers pitching going a combined 19-for-43 (.442) with 5 home runs and 9 RBI in the series... However, they were the only Wings with more than 3 hits in the series.

-Colabello alone went 8-for-16 (.500) with 5 runs scored and 4 extra-base hits (3 doubles, 1 HR)

LEHMANN JOINS RED WINGS: C Danny Lehmann officially joined the Red Wings on Friday after OF Evan Bigley was put on the disabled list Thursday with a left wrist sprain... Lehmann, who hit .237 in 14 games for the Wings last season, was hitting .273 with a home run and 3 RBI in 9 games with New Britain this season. The 27-year-old has appeared in 82 career games with the Red Wings from 2010-2012 batting .227 with 2 HR and 18 RBI... Bigley hit the DL batting .303 with 2 HR and 3 RBI in 19 games with Rochester after starting the season in New Britain.

DEDUNO RETURNS TO FRONTIER FIELD: Tonight RHP Samuel Deduno will make his first start at Frontier Field since June 22 of last season when he allowed just one hit over 6.0 scoreless innings against Charlotte in his lone career win as a Red Wing... This will only be Deduno's 3rd career start at Frontier Field after just 2 of his 9 starts with the Wings last season were at home before finishing the year making 15 starts for the Twins. Deduno, who dominated this year's World Baseball Classic (2-0, 0.69 ERA in 3 GS), missed the first 29 games of the season recovering from a groin strain suffered in the WBC.

-In his first start of the season, Deduno allowed just one unearned run on 5 hits and 4 walks in 5.0 innings on Sunday @ COL

CAN I GET A WIN?: Red Wings game 2 starter LHP Andrew Albers is still in search of his first Triple-A win although by no fault of his own. Rochester is 2-4 in starts made by the southpaw this season and in the 4 losses, Albers has allowed just 3 runs on 18 hits and 3 walks in 22.0 IP (1.28 ERA). In those 4 starts, the Wings offense has scored a total of just 6 runs... Conversely, in the 2 games the Wings have won, Albers has allowed 8 runs on 13 hits and 5 walks in 8.0 innings (9.00 ERA). The Wings offense has scored 15 runs behind Albers in those 2 starts.

-Albers has recorded 2 straight "quality starts" including tossing 6.1 scoreless innings his last time out on 5/6 @ TOL

HEATING UP ON THE ROAD: Wings DH Jeff Clement hit .304 (7-for-23) with 2 home runs and 5 RBI in 7 games on the road trip. He had just 2 hits away from Frontier Field (2-for-39; .051) in 11 G before the trip... Before hitting the road, Clement was just 9-for-71 (.127) with one RBI and one extra-base hit in his first 21 games of the season... He raised his average 43 points on the trip... SS Doug Bernier also had himself a road trip batting 9-for-28 (.321) with 4 RBI to raise his average to .291... In 19 road games this year, Bernier is hitting .317 (19-for-60) with 8 RBI compared to just .231 (6-for-26) in 11 home games.
