ROSTER NEWS: The Minnesota Twins today reinstated right-handed pitcher Kyle Waldrop from the 15-Day Disabled List and optioned him to Triple-A Rochester. To make room for him on the Red Wings' 25-man roster, the Twins released righthander Daryl Thompson. The 26-year-old Waldrop made 4 rehab appearances with Single-A Fort Myers before his arrival, allowing 2 hits and striking out 5 in 4.0 scoreless innings.

a Thompson went 1-5 with a 4.71 ERA in 9 starts. Waldrop spent the entire 2010 season and the majority of 2011 with the Red Wings.
