RoadRunners Training Camp Opens Sunday

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners will commence their third season as a member of the ECHL at 9:00 a.m. Sunday when they open training camp with introductory team meetings and physicals at US Airways Center.
In preparation for the 2007-08 season and the season opener on Friday, Oct. 19 at home against Utah, the RoadRunners will visit the Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League in the "Battle of the Desert" pre-season series at 7:05 p.m. Oct. 12 and 13 at the Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley. Tickets for both pre-season games are on sale now and will be $13 regardless of location in Tim's Toyota Center. Tickets can be purchased by calling 1-866-4-GET-TIX (1-86n6-443-8849), online at www.gettix.net, or in person at the Tim's Toyota Center Box Office.
The RoadRunners training camp schedule through Oct. 18 is listed below. Practices will be held at the Alltel Ice Den in Scottsdale (9375 E Bell Road, Scottsdale). All practices during training camp are open to the public and the media.
The RoadRunners would like to extend an invitation to all members of the media to join Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Church, Assistant Coach Brian O'Leary, and members of the 2007-08 team from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 8 at US Airways Center for Media Day. Media Day will take place at the Phoenix Suns Practice Court, which is located on the event level of US Airways Center across from the RoadRunners locker room.
The RoadRunners 2007 training camp roster currently stands at 16 players including forwards Dustin Moore, Thatcher Bell, Sean O'Connor, Justin Maiser, Cam Paddock, Scott Kelman, Daniel Sisca, Jeff Kyrzakos, Chris Stevens, and Mitch Carefoot; defensemen Dave Pszenyczny, Brian Yandle, Nathan Schwartzbauer, Reagan Rome, and Nick Toneys; and goaltender Cody Rudkowsky.
The RoadRunners return to US Airways Center at 7:11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19 when they host the Utah Grizzlies to commence their third season in the desert.
