Phoenix, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL are pleased to announce that the organization raised a total of $17,199 through a two-day charity event to benefit the Phoenix HOG Charities and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona.

"We enjoyed our partnership with the RoadRunners in making this event a huge success, and we look forward to even bigger things in 2007," said Dean Liddle, Director of Phoenix HOG Charities.

The event kicked off Tuesday, April 4 with "Harley Night" sponsored by Buddy Stubbs Harley Davidson as the RoadRunners auctioned off exclusive, game-worn Harley Davidson themed jerseys at Stoudemire's Downtown following their regular season home finale against the Las Vegas Wranglers. Wednesday, the RoadRunners hosted their first annual "Celebrity Waiters and Casino Night" at Alice Cooper'stown Phoenix, sponsored by Casino Arizona. Fans participated in a Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament with their favorite RoadRunners while being waited on by the rest of the team.

The top selling jersey at Tuesday's auction belonged to RoadRunners rookie forward Shawn Snider, whose #10 sweater was purchased for $4,500.

A major portion of those proceeds will go directly to the Phoenix HOG Charities, which works in conjunction with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona.

The Phoenix RoadRunners would like to thank everyone in attendance at both events for their support of such a worthy cause.

The RoadRunners return to the ice at US Airways Center in October 2006. Information on season tickets, half-season packages, and flex plans are available by calling (602) 462-GOAL.
