Roadrunners Put Playoff Tickets on Sale

EDINBURG, Texas--- With the ULB playoffs starting in two weeks on August 31, the Edinburg Roadrunners have announced that playoff packages and single-game tickets are now on sale for the general public.

Playoff packages for all home playoff games are on sale for $40, while single-game tickets cost $8 for box seats and $6 for general admission.

If the Roadrunners finish in either first or second place, they would open the playoffs with a best-of-three first round series on the road with one game on Tuesday, August 31 against the #3 or #4 seed. Edinburg finishing in one of the top two spots will garner them home-field advantage for game two and, if necessary, game three of the first round on Wednesday, September 1 and Thursday, September 2.

Should Edinburg survive the first round, they would play the winner of the other series in a best-of-five format for the ULB Championship. If the Roadrunners are the lower seed, they will open the championship round with games one and two at Edinburg Baseball Stadium on Friday. September 3 and Saturday, September 4. If the Roadrunners are the higher seed, they would play game three and, if necessary, games four and five at home on Sunday, September 5, Monday, September 6, and Tuesday, September 7.

The top four teams in the ULB standings make the playoffs. Start times at Edinburg Baseball Stadium will be the same as the regular season ; 7:05 Monday-Saturday and 6:05 on Sundays.

The Roadrunners continue their four-game series against the San Angelo Colts with game three tonight at Foster Field. Mark DiBernardo (6-5) is expected to face Brett Bukvich (0-1) with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
