Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release
Greenville, SC: Today the Road Warriors announced left winger Sean Berkstresser has been named the team's captain for the 2013-14 season. Right winger Bretton Cameron and defensemen Brad Cole will serve as the team's alternate captains.
"Sean knows the system, he has been here the longest and understands what it takes to guide others and win. Plain and simple, he is a leader," said Head Coach Dean Stork. "Both Brad and Bretton possess great character and leadership ability. They play a hard-nosed game, and personify the commitment and dedication we want from our players. All three of these players lead by example, which will be key for all of the young players on our roster."
Berkstresser, 30, will be entering his fourth season with the Road Warriors and has produced impressive numbers throughout his tenure in Greenville. In addition, Cameron earned Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week honors last season.
