Nashville Sounds News Release
DES MOINES - Thursday evening's scheduled series finale between the Nashville Sounds and Iowa Cubs at Principal Park has been rained out.
A makeup date for the game has not been announced. It will be made up during one of the teams' remaining two series later this season.
The Sounds return home to Music City on Friday to begin a brief four-game homestand against the Round Rock Express (AAA-Astros) in a rematch of last season's American Conference Finals playoff series (won by Round Rock, three games to two). The series will be the first of four played between the clubs in 2007.
Right-hander Tim Dillard (0-2, 3.68) makes his sixth start of the year for the Sounds in Friday's 7:00 p.m. series opener in search of his first career Triple-A victory. Round Rock will counter with right-hander Juan Gutierrez (1-2, 3.18).
