Rockford Rivets News Release
LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford Rivets invite fans to celebrate the Fourth of July with their furry best friends.
The Rivets have scheduled their first Bark in the Park event for Monday's noon game against the St. Cloud Rox. At no extra charge, fans' well-behaved dogs can join them at Rivets Stadium to enjoy an afternoon of baseball.
Circle of Change Rockford will be partnering with the Rivets on the event. Circle of Change Rockford has developed a program that is making a difference for veterans struggling with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and/or Traumatic Brain Injuries. The program serves veterans of all conflicts who are challenged, disabled, in transition, and/or suffer from the effects of PTSD or TBI. The program goal is to be a provider of helpful and healing dog observation, training, and handling experiences for veterans, especially those having been exposed to trauma. With dogs as the vehicle, it is the mission of Circle of Change to educate, enhance, improve, and positively affect veterans.
Tickets start at $8 and gates open at 11:00 a.m. Tickets to Bark in the Park or any other Rivets can be purchased by calling (815) 240-4159 or by visiting RockfordRivets.com.
