Riversharks Sweep Road Warriors

Camden Riversharks News Release


Alvin Colina was 3-for-4 with two grand slams and 8 RBIs as the Camden Riversharks cruised to a 14-2 victory and a three-game sweep of the Road Warriors. Camden's sweep of the Road Warriors is their first sweep of a season.

Carlos Vasquez (6-3) pitched seven innings for the victory allowing just two runs on eight hits.

Jason Norderum (1-3) took the loss for the Road Warriors allowing seven runs on seven hits in just three innings of work.

The Road Warriors got off to a strong start with a run in the 1st thanks to a Carlos Sosa RBI single.

Alvin Colina gave the Riversharks the lead in the 2nd inning with a grand slam over the left-center field wall, to make it 4-1. The Riversharks have now hit grand slams in back-to-back games.

The Road Warriors got one back in the top of the 3rd after Melvin Dorta scored on Jonel Pacheco's error to make it 4-2.

Brian Burgamy doubled the Riversharks lead in the bottom of the 3rd with a two-run single to give Camden a 6-2 lead. Toby Hall added to the lead two batters later with an RBI single that scored Burgamy.

Colina hit his second grand slam of the game in the 4th inning to blow it open and make it 12-2 Riversharks.
