
Riversharks Defeat Patriots 3-2

Bridgewater, NJ - The Camden Riversharks (2-6, 30-48) defeated the Somerset Patriots (4-4, 54-24) 3-2 Thursday evening at TD Bank Ballpark.
In the top of the first inning center fielder Carlos Guzman hammered a home run (6) and left fielder Michael Rockett pounded a RBI double to give Camden a 2-0 advantage.
Left fielder Michael Burgess slugged a RBI double in the bottom of the first inning as Somerset cut the deficit in half at 2-1.
Camden added a run in the top of the seventh inning as right fielder Zach MacPhee recorded a RBI sacrifice fly to increase the Sharks lead to 3-1.
The Patriots scored in the ensuing half inning as right fielder Nate Spears socked a RBI double making the score 3-2.
Bill Murphy earned the win (2-9) tossing 6.1 innings while allowing two runs. Mickey Storey sustained the loss (4-2) hurling seven innings while surrendering three runs. Matt Gorgen notched the save (16) pitching the final frame.
