Revs Seek New Presenting Partner for 2016 Season
July 16, 2015 - Atlantic League (AtL)
York Revolution News Release
(York, PA): The York Revolution are looking for the next fortunate non-profit group or community organization that would like to raise thousands of dollars for their worthy cause, and seize the opportunity to present themselves 70 times a summer amongst York County's largest captive audience. Sounds pretty good, right?
The team's front office has announced they've begun the search for their next season-long presenting partner, as they head down the stretch on what will be a successful year with the Penn Mar Human Services in that role. Previous partners include Special Olympics York County in 2014, Boy Scouts of America New Birth of Freedom Council in 2013, YMCA of York in 2012, York County Libraries in 2011 and the SPCA of York County in 2010, the first season the program was put in place. Each group has a one-season term as Revolution partner. Past presenting partners have found the partnership to be a tremendous opportunity to spread the word about their respective organization while raising funds to support their efforts.
The presenting partnership has many facets which help the organization, beginning with the official logo, which combines the presenter's logo with that of the York Revolution. That mark is used by the Revolution as a primary logo on website, most publications and other materials throughout the season. The 2016 Presenting Partner will have an extra-special platform, as the Revolution will be celebrating their 10th Anniversary Season in Downtown York.
From there, the previous presenting partners have used various means to raise money, beginning with a marketing table at each of the 70 home games, which can be used to hand out literature, run contests, promote upcoming organizational events and sell souvenirs which relate to that particular group.
Other means of raising money include: Hosting non-baseball events at Santander Stadium while the team is on the road, the opportunity to sell in-stadium signage and luxury suites at the ballpark and auctioning special game-worn jerseys, the proceeds from which benefit the presenting partner. These jersey auctions are among the most popular events on the Revolution promotional calendar, as the sponsor will help the team design a special jersey with their theme, and they are worn then auctioned off during a game, and then handed right to the winner post-game by the player who wore it.
"We've had great success in working with our past season partners to raise awareness and funds for these groups who are doing great things for the community. I am anxious and excited to find out who our partner will be for the 2016 season," said Revolution Vice President of Business Development Nate Tile. "It's always a pleasure to meet with prospective partners during this time of year. I enjoy learning about the non-profit organizations and their contribution to the community where we live, work and play. I'm really looking forward to meeting with these local organizations in the coming weeks."
For more information, or to set up a meeting, those interested should contact Tile in the Revolution office by calling 717-801-4482 or by e-mail, ntile@yorkrevolution.com.
