Peoria Rivermen News Release

Peoria Rivermen head coach Jean-Guy Trudel has announced that the team has signed center Adam Hartley, who will be in the lineup this weekend against the Mississippi River Kings. The addition boosts the Rivermen roster to 18 skaters and two goaltenders.

The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) mandates that each team's roster cannot excide 18 players. However, that number does not include anyone signed to a 3-game tryout contract, which is the case for wingers Matt Graham and Mike Lysyj.

Hartley, 25, completed his senior season at the Rochester Institute of Technology (Div-I) last year before beginning his professional playing career with the Trenton Titans in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). In 150 collegiate games, Hartley notched 33 goals and 38 assists for 71 points. The 6'3, 195-pound forward also appeared in four games for Trenton and recorded one assist. He made his professional debut on March 22, 2013, against Wheeling.

Hartley finished his RIT career as the university's all-time leader in games played (150) and overtime goals (3). He also helped the Tigers win the 2009-10 NCAA (AHA) championship.

A native of West Vancouver, British Columbia, Hartley spent four years in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) from 2005-2009. In 178 games, he tallied 59 goals and 76 assists for 135 points between the Burnaby Express and Surrey Eagles.

Peoria returns to the ice this weekend for a Friday-Saturday doubleheader against the Mississippi River Kings. Both games are at Carver Arena and will start at 7:15 p.m. For tickets or more information, please visit the Rivermen office located inside the Peoria Civic Center or call (309)-676-1040.
