Mississippi Surge News Release
Lafayette, LA - The Mississippi Surge picked up their first win of the season in spectacular style, shutting out what was an undefeated IceGators squad, on the road. Edmondson scored again in the third period, falling one goal short of a hat trick. Justin MacDonald and Jordan Peddle also scored, both picking up their first goals of the season.
"The guys worked hard in practice this past week and it showed tonight," remarked Head Coach Jeff Bes. "They played determined and disciplined. When we made some mistakes, but our goaltender made the big saves to keep us in the game, giving us the confidence we needed."
