WOUNDED WARRIORS

Peoria enters today's contest with two of their top scorers, winger Chris Wilson and center Ben Power, currently on 30-day injured reserve. Wilson has posted 20 goals and 19 assists in 39 games this season, while Power has notched eight goals and 17 assists in 29 contests. Both Power and Wilson are eligible to return from IR before Peoria's final regular season road trip to Knoxville in early April.

THE MASKED MAN

Peoria goaltender Kyle Rank enters play today leading all SPHL goaltenders with 19 wins between the pipes, and his 2.11 GAA ranks first among all active SPHL goaltenders with at least 870 minutes played. The two-time SPHL Goaltender of the Year also enters play this afternoon with a .927 save percentage, placing him second among active qualifiers.

THE WHOLE SHOOTING MATCH

The Rivermen come into today's game ranked second in the SPHL in shots on goal per game at 34.26, behind only Pensacola's 35.02 SOG per game. Defensively, the Rivermen are allowing 29.05 shots on goal per game, also good for second in the league. Additionally, Peoria's 3.56 goals for and 2.26 goal against per game each rank first in the SPHL. When the Rivermen out-shoot their opponents this season, Peoria is 21-6-1. In the first period of games this year the Rivermen are out-shooting opponents 517-386 and out-scoring foes 54-28, and when leading or tied after one period Peoria is 30-5-2 this year.

WHAT'S AHEAD

After tonight's game the Rivermen will rematch the Ice Flyers tomorrow night and Sunday afternoon, then they will return to the road for a pair of games March 11 & 12 in Huntsville, followed by three games at Pensacola March 18-20, then Peoria will come back to Carver Arena for a pair of games March 25 & 26 against Mississippi before making the regular season's final road trip with a pair against the Ice Bears in Knoxville April 1 & 2. After the season's final road trip, the Rivermen will conclude their regular season with three games at home April 7-9 against Columbus.
