Peoria Rivermen News Release
The Peoria Rivermen are excited to announce a new partnership with Stretch Internet to broadcast all 56 regular-season games online for the 2014-15 season. Stretch Internet is completely free of charge and all broadcasts can be accessed through the Rivermen Game Central Portal (click here to launch ). In addition, the audio stream portion will take the place of CD Country 107.9 FM, which had been the home of Rivermen broadcasts for the last three seasons.
"This is something I know the fans are going to love," Rivermen co-owner Bart Rogers said. "It gives you the opportunity to listen to every game, live, with a crisp signal no matter where you are. Stream it on your computer, tablet, or phone. It's up to par with today's technology-filled environment and is going to be very easy for the fans to use."
Among the hottest new features, the Rivermen Game Central Portal will include a live chat section, where fans can interact during each game using Twitter hashtags such as #GoRivermen, or #PEOvsHUN. Within this section, the Official Rivermen Twitter account will also update with scoring plays, penalties, trends and anything else that is of note.
Furthermore, the Rivermen Game Central Portal will feature an On-Demand tab, where fans will find videos of past game highlights and other segments that are produced throughout the season.
The play-by-play audio for live events can be accessed by clicking the speaker icon on the right-hand side within 15 minutes of the listed time. To get to the Rivermen Game Central Portal, fans can go to www.rivermen.net and click "Listen Live" under the Fanzone tab.
All broadcasts during the 2014-15 season will once again be presented by the Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino in East Peoria.
