Rivermen Announce Training Camp Schedule

Peoria Rivermen News Release
The Peoria Rivermen announced today the team will open training camp for its second season in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) on Wednesday, Oct. 15 at Owen's Center in Peoria. All sessions this year will take place at Owen's Center and will be open to the public free of charge.
Owen's Center is located at 1019 W. Lake Avenue in Peoria. Carver Arena is not available due to the Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus.
Peoria's 2014 training camp will run from Wednesday, Oct. 15 until Wednesday, Oct. 22, with two sessions per day until Sunday, Oct. 19. Players and coaches will be available to the media following each practice.
Below is a full list of training camp practice times and notable dates. All times and locations are subject to change. NOTE: The Rivermen will not participate in a formal pre-season contest against another team in the league.

Saturday, Oct. 18 - Practice from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Owen's Center
Saturday, Oct. 18 - Practice from 3:45 p.m. - 5:15 p.m. at Owen's Center
Sunday, Oct. 19 - Practice from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Owen's Center
Monday, Oct. 20 - Practice from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Owen's Center
Tuesday, Oct. 21 - Practice from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Owen's Center
Wednesday, Oct. 22 - Practice from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Owen's Center
The current Rivermen training camp roster consists of 26 players, with more players expected to be added:
Forwards (12): Dan Bremner, Dan Cecka, Alec Hagaman, Josh Harris, Taylor Larsen, Steve Morra, Dennis Sicard, Jordan Sims, Jake Trask, Garrett Vermeersch, Ben Warda, Dean Yakura
Defenseman (9): Paul Arnott, Riley Austin, Charlie Carkin, Mike MacIntyre, Ben Oskroba, Cole Ruwe, Nick Schneider, Nick Wheeler, Richie Zobak
Goaltenders (5): Kevin Carr, Paul Dorsey, Eric Levine, Eric Mihalik, Kyle Rank
Single game tickets for Peoria's 33rd season of professional hockey are set to go on sale Wednesday, Oct. 1 at the Peoria Civic Center box office at 10:30 a.m. However, season ticket packages and group ticket options for the 2014-15 campaign are on sale now through the Rivermen office, located at 201 S.W. Jefferson Street, or over the phone at (309) 676-1040 .
