
Rivermen Announce Channel Change for One Playoff Game on Insight Communications Broadcast Network

Peoria, Ill. (April 21, 2004) â President Bart Rogers of the Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL announced today that the Rivermen Broadcast Network on Insight Communications will move to Channel 17 (Illinois Central College Channel) in the Peoria, Pekin and Morton markets for tonight's Game Three of the Northern Division Finals, due to the Chicago Cubs baseball broadcast. The regular channel lineup for the Rivermen Broadcast Network on Insight Communications will return for Game Four on Thursday, April 22.
Game Three of the Northern Division Finals pits the Rivermen against the Reading Royals at the Sovereign Center. Broadcast time is 5:50 p.m. CDT and game time is 6:00 p.m. CDT.
Those fans who regularly listen and watch on Channel 22 in the Bloomington-Normal market will not have service interrupted. The Galesburg market, which normally receives audio on the Rivermen Broadcast Network on Channel 70, will not receive audio for Game Three.
The regular Rivermen Broadcast Network on Insight Communications channel lineup is as follows: Peoria area â Channel 44, Bloomington-Normal â Channel 22, Pekin â Channel 70, Morton â Channel 70, and Galesburg â Channel 70. The Peoria market includes: Peoria, Peoria Heights, Dunlap, Bartonville, East Peoria, Creve Coeur, Washington and Morton; and the Pekin market includes: Pekin, North Pekin, Marquette Heights, South Pekin, Tremont, Groveland and Green Valley.
Fans may listen LIVE to the Rivermen broadcast on Insight Communications, FOX Sports Radio 1290 AM (WWFS) or through the Internet â www.rivermen.net/fanzone/liveaudio.
The Northern Division Finals continue in Reading, Pa., for Games Three and Four (if necessary) tonight â Wednesday, April 21 and Thursday, April 22, respectively. Game times are 6:00 p.m. CDT at the Sovereign Center. Game Five (if necessary) would return the series to Peoria, Ill., on Saturday, April 24. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at Carver Arena. The Peoria Rivermen are a member of the ECHL â America's Premier "AA" Hockey League.
