Rivermen Announce 2014-15 Regular Season Schedule

The Peoria Rivermen have announced their 2014-15 regular season schedule. The 33rd season of professional hockey in Peoria will begin Friday, Oct. 24, when the Rivermen welcome the Huntsville Havoc to Carver Arena to kick off the new campaign.
Peoria will once again boast a fan friendly schedule, which includes one of the best strings of home games in franchise history. All but one of the 28 home games this year will be played on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, while the Rivermen are home before and after both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Peoria will play 11 home games on Friday, 10 on Saturday, six on Sunday and one on Thursday - Feb. 19 vs. Knoxville.
Furthermore, Rivermen fans will have the opportunity to see all seven SPHL opponents this season, including the defending President's Cup champion Pensacola Ice Flyers Nov. 28-29. The Knoxville Ice Bears will be Peoria's most common opponent at home with six contests taking place at Carver Arena.
Knoxville will also be Peoria's most common opponent overall as the Rivermen and Ice Bears will faceoff a total of 12 times. The Mississippi RiverKings are a close second with 11 games scheduled, while Pensacola and Columbus will be the least familiar to Peoria, with just five contests each in 2014-15.
