SOUTHAVEN—In addition to the free field trip the RiverKings will present during training camp for schools, the team will institute a special ticket rate to honor school employees.

Gary Saunders, RiverKings Vice President, said that local schools have partnered with the team on numerous occasions to honor and reward children in the community.

"Teachers, administrators and school employees make up a large part of our children's world," Saunders said. "Every employee at a school affects the way our child performs at school through their daily interactions. They provide a safe, exciting environment for children to learn and to put the values they learn into practice. We want honor them for their contribution to our world."

School employees will receive $2 off select adult seats for any RiverKings home game throughout the 2004-2005 season when they present valid identification or pay stub at the DeSoto Civic Center box office only.

"I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for the guidance of several of my teachers," Saunders said. "I and many, many of the people in our communities are highly indebted to our school experience. We are proud to have school employees join us and enjoy the fruits of their labor."
