(Oklahoma City, OK) -- The Mississippi RiverKings topped the Oklahoma City Blazers 3-2 in a shootout at the Ford Center on Friday, October 24th.

After trailing 1-0 following the first period, Mississippi took the lead with goals from Jeff Alcombrack and Bobby Chaumont. However, Ted Vandermeer's goal with 45 seconds remaining in the period tied the contest at 2-2, and it stayed that way through the rest of regulation time and overtime.

Mississippi won the shootout 2-0 with goals from Louis Dumont and Stephen Margeson.

Kevin Beech made 36 saves in posting the victory in goal for Mississippi, which plays at Bossier-Shreveport Saturday night, beginning at 7:05 PM. Broadcast coverage may be heard on 1210-AM, WMPS Radio with Bob Bakken providing the play-by-play.
