RiverKings struggle on power play, wrap up road trip with loss

LAREDO---The Memphis RiverKings wrapped up their longest road trip of the season with a 5-1 loss to the Laredo Bucks on Saturday night in Laredo. The RiverKings finished the trip 3-5, having lost five of their last six. The 'Kings struggled on the power play going 0 for 7 while Laredo went 1 for 4, scoring on their first chance at 2:18 of the first period and they would not look back building a 4-0 lead going into the third period.

Jeremy Goetzinger gave Memphis hope with a goal off a steal in front of the Bucks' net at 3:03 of the third, but the Bucks made it a four goal game again and put the game, which featured five fights, out of reach with a tally at 12:19

The RiverKings have not had a home game since a 7-4 loss to Bossier/Shreveport on November 5. They will host the Mudbugs on Tuesday night at 7:05.
