RiverKings NYE Party Includes Built-In Babysitting

Want to go to the RiverKings New Year's Eve Party, but concerned about childcare? The RiverKings are offering a solution for concerned parents who would like to attend the festivities: a kid-friendly, adult-supervised room close to the party room in the convention hall, where parents can check on their children as often as they wish throughout the evening.

"We know parents need a safe, fun place to drop off their children for a couple of hours, so we will be providing that on-site the night of the New Year's Eve party," RiverKings Director of Business Operations Dave Mattice said. "We want parents to feel safe and the kids to have fun."

The childcare room will provide snacks and games for the kids, and will be open beginning immediately after the game until 1:30 a.m., when the party officially ends. Additionally, arena security will be provided by local law enforcement.

The party will be in the DeSoto Civic Center convention hall rooms at the West Entrance of the building (near the theater) and will feature live music by The Last Chance Band, free food, a cash bar and a special-edition jersey auction. Before the party, there will be an indoor fireworks show for the whole family inside the arena.

The childcare room will be located off the main party room and close to the restrooms. There will be a charge of $10 per child.
