
Donald Thomson Returns To Bucks Front Office

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League announced Thursday that Donald Thomson will return to the team's Front Office as Vice President of Sales. The move comes as part of Terry Ruskowski's appointment as the Bucks new President.
Thomson's new role with the Bucks will have him overseeing both Corporate and Ticket Sales.
"I am thrilled that Donald is returning to the Bucks. He is a rising star in our industry and I look forward to him having a significant leadership role in our organization", said Bucks Majority Owner Glenn Hart.
"I am very excited to re-connect with our Corporate Partners and our season ticket holders", Thomson said. "I look forward to coming up with innovative ways to increase ticket sales, as well as Corporate Partnerships".
Thomson, the February 2008 CHL Employee of the Month, spent one-and-a-half seasons in the Bucks Front Office, from April 2007 to July 2008, where he ascended to Director of Corporate Partnerships. In that role he helped lead the Bucks to the 2008 CHL Corporate Sponsorship Franchise of the Year.
In July 2008 Thomson took a position for Learfield Sports and Texas A &M Sports Properties, where he was responsible for Corporate Fulfillment for all of A&M Athletics.
Thomson, who will return to the Bucks in mid-January, earned a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, and a Masters in Sports Management from Texas A&M University.
Thomson will join Jennifer Beckelhymer, and Nicole Kupaks in Vice President roles. On Wednesday Beckelhymer was appointed as Executive Vice President, while Kupaks was appointed Vice President of Business Operations.
The Bucks, led by new President Coach Rosco, will be back in action at the LEC this weekend, when they host two special holiday games on Friday and Saturday when they host Rio Grande Valley and Corpus Christi.
