The RiverKings open up a three game road trip to Kansas and Oklahoma tonight as they face the Thunder for the second time this season at the Kansas Coliseum in Park City, KS. Wichita defeated Memphis 5-1 on November 13 scoring four goals in the third period to break a 1-1 tie. The RiverKings are coming off a four game stretch where they went 1-2-1 against Colorado, the team that the Thunder is chasing in the Northwest Division. The Thunder trails the Eagles by five points, but have two games in hand and one less loss. The RiverKings are in fourth in the tight Northeast Division, trailing Bossier-Shreveport by five points. The Thunder split a pair over the weekend, falling to Tulsa 6-2 on Friday, but rebounding to hold off Fort Worth 5-4 on Saturday. Wichita is again led by the trio of Travis Clayton, Jason Duda and Joe Blaznek. Clayton (10-25-35) and Blaznek (20-15-35) are tied with Youngstown's Jeff Christian for the league scoring lead with 35 points. Duda (10-24-34) is just a point back. Sebastien Laplante, who was set to play for the Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL before Hurricane Katrina hit, has been solid in the nets at 9-3-3, 2.99 GAA, .914 Save Percentage.

Memphis leads the all-time series 44-35-12, but are just 13-25-6 at the Kansas Coliseum. Tonight's game is the second of four meetings this season. The RiverKings return to Wichita on January 28 with the Thunder making their only appearance at the DCC on February 16.
