Mississippi RiverKings News Release

Southaven, Miss. -- The Mississippi RiverKings dropped their second game in as many days as they fell to the Huntsville Havoc 5-3 in front of 2,213 at the Desoto Civic Center Tuesday night.

Dennis Sicard got the scoring started in the first period with a shot that beat Scott Darling to give the Havoc a 1-0 lead at the 15:25 mark of the first period.

Deven Still responded with his third goal in as many games as he made a nice move around the Havoc defender and beat Kevin Beech high, glove side to tie up the game at one apiece after the first period.

Early in the second, David Brownschidle deflected a Ryan Kretzer pass over the glove hand of Darling to put Huntsville back on top 2-1, but a penalty shot by recently returned Mark Magnowski tied up the game at two at the 4:43 mark of the second.

Jonathan Lafrance got the Havoc back on top at the 15:45 mark as he took a Glenn Detulleo pass and beat Darling as Hunstville went back on top 3-2.

But the RiverKings had an answer. Just two minutes later, Magnowski took a Deven Stillar pass and lifted it high over Beech to tie the game up at three after two periods of play.

Early in the third, after Chris Pontes' clearing attempt hit referee Josh Greco, the puck landed on Brandon Richardson's stick and his shot went through traffic to the back of the net to give Huntsville the lead and the win. Detulleo would add an empty netter with 15 seconds left to end the scoring.

The loss drops Scott Darling to 4-7-1 as he stopped 18 of 22. Kevin Beech stopped 32 of 35 en route to his second win as a member of the Huntsville Havoc, improving his overall record this season to 4-1-1.
