Huntsville's Justin Fox Named SBK Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, NC (December 27, 2011) - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Justin Fox of the Huntsville Havoc is the SBK Player of the Week for December 19-25.

In Huntsville's only game last week, Fox tallied a natural hat trick in leading the Havoc to a 5-3 win over the Mississippi Surge on Friday, ending a five-game losing streak. Trailing 3-2, the Whitby, Ontario native scored his first goal just 1:44 into the second period to tie the game. Fox then gave Huntsville the lead for good, scoring the game-winning goal with less than nine minutes remaining in the third period before adding an empty-net goal to complete the hat trick.

Fox spent the last two years playing for the State University of New York (SUNY) - Oswego, where he averaged nearly a point-and-a-half per game. Prior to that, Fox spent two years at Salem State College where he led the team in scoring both seasons, recording 74 points in only 49 games.
