November 28, 2006 - Central Hockey League (CHL) - Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release

BOSSIER CITY, LA -- The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs took an early penalty and Memphis was able to capitalize as Jason Sessa scored to give the RiverKings a 1-0 edge. The Mudbugs had a couple opportunities but couldn't get any rebounds past RiverKings goalie Larry Sterling in the first period.

A four-on-four situation turned gold in the second as Daniel Pegoraro fed Joe Ori, who blasted a slapshot passed Sterling to tie the game. Memphis would get a five on three opportunity towards the tail end of the period as Derek Landmesser fired a slapshot to beat John DeCaro in the upper left hand corner of the goal, giving the lead back to Memphis.

The scoring continued in third period with Memphis able to capitalize on their next five on three powerplay. Phil Aucoin beat John DeCaro, squeezing a shot in between the near post and DeCaro's left leg pad. The Mudbugs brought the game within one goal when Forbes MacPherson scored on a deflection from the point. The Bugs pulled DeCaro at the end of the game but couldn't produce the game tying goal.

The Bugs are back in action on Friday night at CenturyTel Center as they welcome the Lubbock Cotton Kings to town for a 7:05 P.M. game.
