Mississippi RiverKings News Release
SOUTHAVEN --- The Memphis RiverKings of the Central Hockey League announced today their 2005 Training Camp Schedule. Camp will open on Monday, October 10 at the DeSoto Civic Center at 10 a.m.
Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin McClelland has set practice sessions for 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. The Monday and Tuesday sessions that first week will be open to the public at no charge.
The team will host exhibition games with the Wichita Thunder on October 13 and 14 at 7:05. All tickets for the two home games will cost $10 and be reserved seating. The October 13 game will also coincide with the team's Fan Fest. Fans will be able to pick up their season tickets, 16-game weekend plan tickets and voucher plans beginning at 5:30 that evening at a table in the Grand Hall of the DeSoto Civic Center.
Season ticket, 16-game weekend plan and voucher plan holders will be admitted to the Thursday game for free and be able to sit in the seats that they have chosen for the regular season. The number of free tickets to the Thursday game will be based on the number of season, 16-game weekend plan or voucher plan tickets on their account. They can pick up their tickets to that night's exhibition game at the same table in the Grand Hall.
RiverKings players will be available for autographs following the Thursday night game.
The team will then travel to Austin for a road exhibition game on Sunday, October 16 at 4 p.m.
Full squad practice will resume on Tuesday, October 18 from 10 a.m. to noon. That practice will also be open to the public. The team will leave on Thursday, October 20 for their season opener at Bossier-Shreveport on Friday, October 21.
Single-game tickets for the two exhibition games and all regular season RiverKings games go on sale on October 3 at 9 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at the DeSoto Civic Center Box Office during business hours (9 a.m.-6 p.m.), by calling the box office at 662-470-2131 during those hours, at all ticketmaster locations and at ticketmaster.com.
