Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC News Release
PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC is excited to announce the club has partnered with local PBS member television station WQED.
In conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, this partnership will include several brand new family-friendly initiatives helping to bring the sport of soccer to thousands of households across the western Pennsylvania area.
Coming this season, the club will be adding the "WQED Family Zone" to Highmark Stadium. This new family-friendly seating area will include on-site branding and promotional support from WQED Multimedia.
WQED will also host its own titled theme night on June 16, when Pittsburgh faces New York Red Bulls II, focused on the Mister Rogers' Neighborhood anniversary. Further details will be released in the future, but fans in attendance will be encouraged to dress as the beloved Mister Rogers and partake in a whole host of fun festivities with the WQED family.
"We are excited to partner with Riverhounds SC for the WQED Family Zone and theme night at the stadium," said Deborah L. Acklin, President and CEO of WQED Multimedia. "We look forward to many family-oriented events with the Hounds during the 50th anniversary of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood."
Fans can enjoy the Family Zone with the WQED Family Fun Zone Pack, which includes four tickets and four combo meals to one home match this season all for $75. This deal is available now at Ticketmaster.com or by contacting our ticketing office at 412-224-4900.
In addition to the planned promotional activities at Highmark Stadium, the Hounds brand will expand its reach to all of WQED's media channels, including WQED-TV, WQED-FM 89.3 and WQED PBS Kids Channel.
