Fresno FC News Release
FRESNO - Fresno Football Club announced a multi-year broadcast partnership with FOX 26 and CW 59 Friday, partnering with the local television station to broadcast the club's United Soccer League matches for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. The deal covers all 34 league dates for the Foxes during the 2018 season and includes an option for US Open Cup and USL Playoff matches.
'We're excited to bring on KMPH FOX 26 and The CW 59 as our telecast partners, as the station's one of the top media outlets in the region. To be able to televise all Fresno FC matches over our first two years to fans is a fantastic thing for the club and we're grateful to have such fantastic partners in Fox 26 and CW 59," said Frank Yallop, general manager of Fresno FC.
"FOX 26 and CW 59 are proud to be the Official Broadcast Partner of Fresno FC and the broadcaster of all 34 regular season games, home and away, LIVE in HD, for the 2018 season and beyond!", said Jack Peck, general manager of the station. "We know the viewers of our Sinclair Broadcast Group television stations in the Central Valley want more live, local sports. Soccer is woven into the fabric of Fresno and the Central Valley, so it's a natural partnership for the two of us, providing a fabulous boost to fans around the region. Fan and viewer interest is high and we can't wait to get started!"
The station, started in 1971 and originally operated as an independent station until becoming a Fox affiliate in 1986, will also partner with Los Zorros in several community projects, namely the club's annual Make A Difference Day, held every October for Valley youth, and select Fresno FC camps & clinics held throughout the 2018 season.
To celebrate the announcement of the partnership, Los Zorros will be joining Kopi & Kim on Friday, March 2nd's Great Day broadcast. Fans can tune in to Fox 26 from 8am-10am to catch Jemal Johnson, Zach Ellis-Hayden, Mickey Daly and a host of other Foxes for the Fresno FC takeover.
