RiverHawks Kids Club Event Scheduled for Saturday

LOVES PARK, Ill. - Kids 12 and under can bank on having a good time with Rocko the RiverHawk Saturday morning.
To celebrate the coming season, the RiverHawks have scheduled the Rocko's Kids Club party for 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at Riverside Bank, 6855 E. Riverside Blvd.
Children who sign up for the Kids Club at the event can also open up a savings account at Riverside Bank during the event. If they do so, Riverside will match the initial deposit, up to $10. Mascot Rocko the RiverHawk will pose for pictures and sign autographs. In addition, Riverside Bank will provide hot dogs fresh off the grill, chips and beverages for visitors.
Membership in the Kids Club costs just $20. Members of the club receive a membership card, an exclusive T-shirt, and tickets to 10 games, plus other special benefits. Kids Club members will also be allowed on the field during the Frontier League All-Star Home Run Derby on July 14.
RiverHawks baseball is a great value for the entire family, and it's never been better. Ten-game plans for adults start at just $75. On top of that, the RiverHawks are offering a limited-time special exclusive to families. For each adult 10-game plan purchased, the RiverHawks will offer a matching 10-game plan for a child free. The child will also receive membership in Rocko's Kids Club.
"With single-game tickets going on sale at 7 a.m. Thursday, this will be the last chance for families to take advantage of this great offer and guarantee they have seats for our biggest games," general manager Josh Olerud said.
The Rockford RiverHawks are the most highly attended minor-league baseball team in the Stateline. The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 17th season this summer. The RiverHawks will begin their eighth season at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, May 21 at Windy City and play their home opener at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, May 26 against the Midwest Sliders of Ypsilanti. The RiverHawks host the 2009 Frontier League All-Star Game at 7:05 p.m. on July 15.
