Richmond RiverDogs News Release

RICHMOND, VA - The RiverDogs, led by Joey Bastien's two goal night, Dan Vandermeer's three assists, Mike D'Alessandro's magnificent performance along with an outstanding team performance led the way to a convincing 5-1 victory over the Port Huron Flags by the score of 5-1. The 2,399 in attendance at the Richmond Coliseum were treated to probably the best game of the season. D'Alessandro was 0:28 seconds away from the team's second shutout, however Mike got the #1 star of the game. The RiverDogs took control and outshot the Flags 35-23, the biggest margin of the season. The win snapped the RiverDog's six game winless draught as the team prepares for a pair against state rivals Roanoke Valley. The two teams will play a home and home series beginning Friday night, 7:35 pm at the Coliseum, then travel to Roanoke for the return match on Saturday.

Season tickets, FlexPaks, Richmond Times-Dispatch Family 4 Packs and group packages are available through the RiverDogs office. For more information call the RiverDogs at 804-225-PUCK (7825).
