Richmond RiverDogs News Release
The Richmond RiverDogs are now 21-21-3 after going 2-1 last week. The âDogs are in third place in the Eastern Division. The âDogs are on the road Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday for three games vs. Eastern Division rivals. Richmond's David Hymovitz will play in Monday's 2005 Pepsi UHL All Star Classic.

Wednesday, January 26 @ Adirondack 7:05 PM GAME NOTES: The 13th of 17 meetings and the eighth of nine in Glens Falls. Richmond is 5-5-2 vs. Adirondack, 3-3-1 at Glens Falls. Mark Turner has 16 points vs. the Frostbite. Justin Kelly has 16 vs. the âDogs. Richmond is winless in their last three games vs. the Frostbite.
Friday, January 28 @ Danbury 7:30 PM GAME NOTES: The 10th of 17 meetings and the fifth of eight in Danbury. The âDogs are 4-5 vs. the Trashers, 1-3 at Danbury. Mark Turner has 11 points vs. the Trashers. Jeff Daw has nine vs. Richmond. The Trashers are out-shooting the âDogs by over 14 per game in the season series.
Saturday, January 29 @ Danbury 7:00 PM GAME NOTES: The 11th of 17 meetings and the sixth of eight in Danbury Third of six straight divisional games for the Trashers. Trashers coach Todd Stirling is coaching Team Pepsi at the UHL All Star Game.

Wednesday, January 19 vs. Elmira WIN 4-2 GAME NOTES: The âDogs David Hymovitz had a hat trick, Jonathan Gagnon added two assists, and Nathan Grobins made 28 saves as the âDogs moved into third place ahead of Elmira. Hymovitz second goal, late in the first period, put the âDogs ahead to stay. David Brosseau also scored for Richmond.
Friday, January 21 vs. Motor City LOSS 5-4 GAME NOTES: The âDogs furious third period rally fell short after they spotted the Mechanics a 5-2 lead. Motor City out-shot Richmond 26-7 in the second period while erupting for four goals. Jonathan Gagnon scored two goals for Richmond. Joe Burton scored twice for Motor City.
Saturday, January 22 vs. Kalamazoo WIN 4-1 GAME NOTES: The âDogs bounced back to beat the UHL's hottest club. Luch Nasato had a goal and assist and the âDogs exploded for three third period goals despite getting out-shot 17-6. David Hymovitz and Mark Turner had a goal and assist. The âDogs were 2-6 on the power play.
DOG BITES: The 'Dogs snapped Kalamazoo's UHL record-tying 12 game winning streak Saturday. Nathan Grobins is 4-0-1 in five starts since joining the 'Dogs. Richmond went 4-2-1 on a seven game homestand. The 'Dogs went 3-1 vs. Kalamazoo this season after going 0-5 vs. the Wings last year. David Hymovitz, the 'Dogs lone All-Star representative, has seven points in his last three games. Francis Belanger David Brosseau, and Ryan Prentice have points in three straight games. The 'Dogs are -23 in the second period this season. Richmond is 0-2-1 in their last three one goal games after going 9-1-2 in their last 12. J.J Wrobel returned from a three week stint on IR Friday. Trevor Senn is on IR. Hymovitz is tied for eighth in the league in scoring and is fifth in assists. Mark Turner is tied for 16 in points. Senn is third in penalty minutes. Kyle Sheen leads in rookie penalty minutes. Mike Dombkiewicz is tied for 10th in rookie scoring.
