TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: The 12th of 17 meetings and the sixth of eight here. Richmond is 5-6 vs. Danbury, 3-2 at home. Mark Turner has 12 points vs. the Trashers. Jeff Daw and Mike Bayrack have 11 vs. Richmond. The Trashers have out-shot the ‘Dogs by an average of 12.5 per game in the season series. The ‘Dogs are third in the East, four points back of Missouri and Flint in the wild card race. The Trashers are in a first place tie with Adirondack in the East but the Frostbite has three games in hand.

LAST ACTION: The ‘Dogs lost 3-2 to Flint here Saturday. Richmond out-shot the Generals by 17 but gave up two second period goals. Marco Emond made 32 saves for the Generals. Brian Goudie had two assists. Danbury beat Port Huron 5-3 at home Sunday in a game that featured a combined 118 PIM. The Beacons out-shot the Trashers 34-21 and killed off 11 Danbury power play chances but the Trashers scored three first period goals on only seven shots. Greg Goodnough had two goals and an assist for Danbury.

'DOG BITES: Please note number changes for tonight's game only. Dennis Vial will wear #2 and Brian Herbert will wear # 11. Brett Cross, who played in one game with the ‘Dogs earlier this season, re-joins the team tonight. The ‘Dogs have also added Billy Rochefort. Cross and Rochefort were both playing with Winston-Salem in the SPHL. The ‘Dogs have placed Darren Wetherill on the IR and moved Trevor Senn to the 21-Day IR. Richmond has claimed D Marc Andre Roy on waivers. The 'Dogs are 1-2 on a six game homestand. The 17 shots allowed by the 'Dogs Saturday is a season low. The 'Dogs are 7 for their last 26 on the power play (27%) and 28 for their last 32 on the penalty kill (87.5%) over a seven game stretch. David Hymovitz has points in three straight games Hymovitz is eighth in the league in scoring. Senn is fourth in PIM. Nathan Grobins is tied for fifth in the league in shutouts. Kyle Sheen is tied for second in the league in game winning goals by a rookie and leads the league's rookies in penalty minutes. Luch Nasato is fifth in points by a defenseman.

TRASHERS NOTES: Bruce Richardson is tied for 11th in the UHL in scoring and Mike Bayrack is 12th. Bayrack is fourth in the league in assists. Gerry Hickey is third in penalty minutes. Scott Stirling leads the UHL in wins, is second in minutes played, and tied for second in save percentage. The Trashers lead the league in penalty minutes, shorthanded goals, and shots per game.
