Richmond RiverDogs News Release
The Richmond RiverDogs are now 11-9-1 after going 2-1 last week. The âDogs are fourth in the Eastern Division, two points behind Elmira, with at least two games in hand on the rest of the division. The âDogs are home Wednesday before hitting the road for seven straight games.

Wednesday, December 8 vs. Danbury 7:35 PM GAME NOTES: The sixth of 17 meetings and the third of eight in Richmond. âDogs are 2-3 vs. the Trashers, 1-1 at home. David Hymovitz and Francis Belanger each have five points vs. Danbury. Blake Bellefeuille has five vs. the âDogs. The Trashers are out-shooting the âDogs by over 13 per game.
Friday, December 10 @ Adirondack 7:05 PM
GAME NOTES: The sixth of 17 meetings and the fourth of eight in Glens Falls. The âDogs are 2-3 vs. the Frostbite, 1-2 at Adirondack. David Brosseau and David Hymovitz each have six points vs. the Frostbite. Justin Kelly has seven vs. Richmond. âDogs have been held to under 30 shots in all five meetings.
Saturday, December 11 @ Adirondack 7:05 PM GAME NOTES: The seventh of 17 meetings and the fifth of eight in Glens Falls. Frostbite heads into the week with a five game unbeaten streak. Game two of a seven game road trip for the âDogs.

Friday, December 3 vs. Danbury LOSS 5-1 GAME NOTES: The Trashers blew the game open with a three goal second period. Mike Bayrack scored twice for Danbury. The Trashers out-shot the âDogs 46-28 in winning their seventh straight game. Mark Turner scored for Richmond.
Saturday, December 4 @ Elmira WIN 2-1
GAME NOTES: The âDogs jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead and held on behind 33 saves by Ryan McIntosh. Jonathan Gagnon and Kyle Sheen scored for Richmond. The âDogs took a season-low 18 shots on goal. The âDogs have held the Jackals to two goals in their last two meetings
Sunday, December 5 vs. Kalamazoo WIN 5-2 GAME NOTES: The âDogs earned their first ever win over the Wings with a three goal third period. Richmond rallied from deficits of 1-0 and 2-1. Again the âDogs took only 18 shots, but Francis Belanger scored a pair of power play goals. Ryan McIntosh made 29 saves.
DOG BITES: The RiverDogs are 3-0 when held to under 20 shots on goal. The 'Dogs were held to a season low 18 shots Saturday and Sunday but won both games. Richmond beat Kalamazoo for the first time ever Sunday (the 'Dogs were 0-5 vs. the Wings last season). Kyle Sheen has points in six straight games. Sheen's streak is the second longest current streak in the UHL. Mark Turner has points in four straight games. Richmond is 3 for their last 7 on the power play. The 'Dogs are 15 of their last 16 on the penalty kill. Richmond has held opponents to two or fewer goals in their last six wins and has allowed 35 goals in their last five losses. The 'Dogs have been out-shot in three straight games and nine of their last 10. The 'Dogs snapped a three game road loosing streak Saturday. The 'Dogs are 3-0-1 vs. the Central Division. Following Wednesday's game vs. Danbury the âDogs play seven straight on the road. Ryan McIntosh had a save percentage of .945 in three games last week. David Hymovitz is tied for 10th in the league in scoring. Trevor Senn is fourth in penalty minutes. Kyle Sheen is tied for third among UHL rookies in penalty minutes.
