Facing their first losing streak of the 2004-05 season, the Rockford IceHogs rebounded with a pair of wins to stay atop the Western Division. The IceHogs finished Week 8 with two road wins including a convincing 6-1 victory over the Quad City Mallards. The Mallards return to Rockford Friday night to kick off a three-game home weekend stretch that will also see Muskegon on Saturday and Kalamazoo on Sunday, come to town.

Transactions
-Rockford winger Blake Stewart was placed on waivers on Monday, November 29.
-Stewart was resigned on Wednesday, December 1.
-Forwards Jason Ralph and Bruce Watson were placed on a one-game suspension by the UHL.
-Winger J.F. Dufour was placed on the 7-Day Injured Reserve on Thursday, December 2.
-Winger Chris Gobert was moved from the 7-Day Injured Reserve to the 21-Day Injured Reserve.
-Defenseman Kevin Klein was assigned to Rockford from Milwaukee on Friday, December 3.

Center J.C. Ruid has a point in eight straight road games for Rockford.
The IceHogs have been in six shootouts this season and three of them have gone to nine rounds, with Rockford winning two of them.
Rockford's 6-2-1 road record is tops in the UHL. Last season, the Hogs had only 10 total road wins.
IceHogs goalie Michel Robinson is 3-0-0 in his three games against Quad City this season with a 1.00 goals against average and a .969 save percentage.
For the third time this season, the IceHogs tied a franchise record with 10 power play opportunities. The team tied the mark on Friday night at Flint and once again on Sunday afternoon at Quad City.
The IceHogs lead the UHL with 146 power play opportunities and are third with 24 power play goals.
The IceHogs are also tied for the UHL lead, having faced 123 penalty kills this season.
The IceHogs 6-1 win at the MARK of the Quad Cities over the Mallards was the team's most lopsided win in Moline, Ill.
Hot Hog: Week 8
Center Olivier Proulx: Once again, the IceHogs feisty pivotman was the center of attention. Proulx had 3g-2a-5pts in four games and helped draw several penalties during the Hogs three-game road trip.

Friday, December 10 vs. Quad City Mallards. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. The Hogs and Mallards match-up for the sixth time this season and fourth at the MetroCentre. The first 1,000 fans to pass through the turnstiles will receive an IceHogs Smash Hit Hockey Poster #3 from Medicine Man, Johnson Press, Pepsi, Rockford Register Star and 97ZOK.
Saturday, December 11 vs. Muskegon Fury. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. Another showdown at the Rockford MetroCentre as the Fury return to the big orange box. The first 1,000 fans to the game will receive a 2004-05 Rockford IceHogs team photo, courtesy of Allegra Printing, Pembrooke Place Apartments and Y-95FM. Also, don't forget to bring your Teddy Bears! The IceHogs are hosting the Fifth Annual Teddy Bear Toss and when the Hogs score their first goal, fans can throw the bears onto the ice. The stuffed animals will be donated and distributed to local hospitals and the Mountain of Toys.
Sunday, December 12 vs. Kalamazoo Wings Game starts at 3:05 p.m. The final game of the IceHogs three-game weekend. Kalamazoo comes to Rockford for the second time this season and Sunday means another Family Four Pack Day! That's four tickets, four hot dogs, four soft drinks for only $40.
Budweiser HogTalk At The Olympic Tavern: Join the Rockford IceHogs and Budweiser at the Olympic Tavern every Monday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. for HogTalk. The show is hosted by WXRX's Jim Stone and Double T. Fans can meet, chat and ask questions about Hogs hockey to IceHogs Head Coach Steve Martinson and the IceHogs players at the show. This week Jason Ralph, Olivier Proulx and Terry Harrison will be at the Olympic Tavern.
