· 12/3: Beacons Bitten The Second Time Around
The Beacons scored quickly into the game when Ian Jacobs (3) banged one home from Josh Tataryn (5). However, the Frostbite tallied four straight goals to take a 4-1 lead into the first intermission. The Beacons would outscore the Frostbite 3-2 in the second but still trailed 6-4 heading into the third period. Scoring in the second was Andrew Shier (2), David Beauregard (16), and Aaron Brand (6). The third period only saw one goal, which Tataryn (12) tallied with helpers from Chris Slater (6) and Rico Fatticci (5). Other Beacons netting assists were, Geoff O'Leary (2), Malcolm MacMillan (10), Brand (15) and Chad Dameworth (6).
· 12/4: The Beacons Trash Danbury
David Beauregard (17) started the scoring when he tallied the Beacons first goal at 9:17 of the first period with helpers from Gabriel Proulx (4) and Andrew McPherson (11). Joey Sewell (7) scored another for the Beacons at 11:50 with assists from Beauregard (8) and McPherson (12) thus ending the period with a 2-0 lead. Josh Tataryn (13) notched his second in two days with Malcolm MacMillan (11) and Rico Fatticci (6) getting the assists. Andrew Shier (3) then notched his second in two days as well with helpers from MacMillan (12) and Proulx (5). Danbury did not give up trailing 4-1, scoring two straight in the third to narrow the lead down to one goal. However, the Beacons, Sewell (8) would net an empty netter at 19:40 of the third to ice the game; Aaron Brand (16) and Gabriel Proulx (6) were the added assists. · 12/5: Beacons Get a Split
The Beacons and Trashers played a tight defensive game with neither team willing to give in. However, it was the Beacons who gave in first. Danbury tallied a goal in the second to take a 1-0 lead into the second intermission. The Beacons responded quickly at: 45 into the third when on the power play Chris Slater (2) scored unassisted. The game would end in regulation with a 1-1 tie. Josh Tataryn started the shootout with a goal but that would be all the scoring the Beacons would get. Danbury's second and third shooters both scored goals and with the Trashers goaltending holding strong, the Beacons fell 2-1, however, they still managed to get a point out of the nights efforts.
Upcoming Games: Week Nine, Three Game Home stand
· 12/10: The first of three games in three days. This is the second meeting between these two clubs; with the Jackals defeating the Beacons on 5-3 on November 5th. However, the Beacons look to extend their home winning streak to five with a win versus the Jackals. FACE-OFF: 7:05 p.m.
· 12/11: Quad City is the opponent for both Saturday and Sunday. Theses two teams played on November 12th with the Mallards defeating the Beacons 2-1 in a tight defensive battle. FACE-OFF: 7:05 p.m.
· 12/12: The Beacons face the Mallards again for the second time in 22 hrs. This Sunday matinee game should be another crowd pleaser, and following the game is another "Meijer Mingle Post Game Skate." FACE-OFF: 5:05 p.m.
This weekend also means the appearance of the legendary Goldie Goldthorpe. Goldthorpe will be in attendance for all three games, however, Saturday the 11th will be the day that Goldthorpe will be signing autographs. Goldthorpe will be dropping the ceremonial first puck for both Friday and Sunday's game. The character "Ogie Oglethorpe" in the classic movie "Slapshot" was based on Goldthorpe.
Brand-O-Meter
Aaron Brand moved past Chris MacKenzie for 5th on the Beacons all-time point list this weekend with 1g and 3a. Brand now sits at 36 goals, 42 assists for 78 points in 88 games played. Brand is closing in on 4th place, sitting only 7 points behind John Vary.

The Beacons nominate Stu Dunn as the Southern Sports Supply UHL Goaltender of the Week. Dunn finished the week 1-0-1 in 143:11 minutes played with 72 saves on 76 shots for a .947 SV% and a 1.67 GAA.

Join Beacons play-by-play announcer, Dennis Stuckey along with Head Coach, Rick Adduono for in depth analysis of the weekends action and questions from fans of all ages. Select Beacon players will also be appearing throughout the season. Of course if you cannot make it down to the Brass Rail you can always tune into AM 1450 and AM 1590, also your home for hockey action all year long both home and away.
