CHARLESTON, S.C. - Monday night's scheduled contest between the Charleston RiverDogs and the Greenville Drive was postponed due to rain.
A single-admission doubleheader has been scheduled for Tuesday night with first pitch slated for 6:05 p.m. at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. Fans holding tickets to Monday night's rainout can redeem them for a ticket of equal or lesser value at any of the RiverDogs' nine remaining home games.
Gates will open Tuesday at 5 p.m., with each game scheduled for seven innings.
UP NEXT: Left-hander Vidal Nuno (1-1, 2.57 ERA) will toe the rubber in the first game of the double dip for Charleston, and is set to be opposed by right-hander Keith Couch (6-4, 3.15 ERA) of Greenville. Right-hander Nathan Forer (2-6, 4.50 ERA) is on schedule to take the ball for the RiverDogs in the nightcap, versus right-hander Scott Swinson (3-4, 3.45 ERA) of the Drive.
There will be a special buzz in the crowd on Tuesday night, as members of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets make their way out to Riley Park as a group. The entire corps of cadets has been invited to the ballgame with a guest, and it is anticipated that more than 1,000 will head down Fishburne Street from The Citadel's historic campus.
