River Rats Prepare For "Rowdy" Weekend At Times Union Center

ALBANY, NY - The Albany River Rats announced today the promotional activities scheduled for the club's home games against Hershey and Providence this weekend at the Times Union Center.

Friday, November 7th, as Albany battles the first place Hershey Bears at 7:00 pm, the River Rats welcome the Total Tan girls to the Times Union Center for Total Tan Night and the River Rats Mascot Election. The first 500 fans (18-years and older) will receive a free tanning session courtesy of Total Tan and one lucky fan will win free tanning for a full year! Also on Friday night, all fans will have the opportunity to vote in the 2008 River Rats Mascot Election. Cast your vote for either "Rowdy" The Rat or his opponent "Rude-e" and help River Rats Nation elect the next leader of the Capital District Mascot political party! Don't forget that every Friday home game the Capital Kitchen and Knickerbocker Grille concession stands have special prices for $1 hot dogs and $1 small sodas.

Saturday, November 8th is Lukoil/Getty Travel Mug Night as the River Rats host the Providence Bruins for the only time this season. The first 2,500 fans to enter the gates will receive a free travel mug courtesy of the River Rats and Lukoil/Getty. Fans will also have the opportunity to win one of three $100 gas cards courtesy of your local Lukoil/Getty locations. The Kids Zone will be in full force on Saturday with a Bounce House and themed-inflatable attraction. Every Saturday night River Rats fans will have the food special of receiving a free concession item with a soda purchase at the Capital Kitchen or the Knickerbocker Grille.

The River Rats have two home games on the schedule this week as they host the Hershey Bears on Friday, November 7th and the Providence Bruins on Saturday, November 8th; both games are scheduled for 7:00 pm face offs at the Times Union Center.
