
Canucks assign Nycholat to Manitoba for conditioning

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced today they have assigned defenceman Lawrence Nycholat to the Moose for the purposes of conditioning.
Nycholat, 29, has appeared in three games this season with the Canucks and has collected two penalty minutes. As a result, the Calgary, AB native has now played in 34 career NHL games with Vancouver, Ottawa, and Washington. In that time, he's scored eight points (2-6-8).
Nycholat played in 77 games last season with the Binghamton Senators where he scored 49 points (12-37-49 to sit fourth in the AHL in scoring amongst defencemen. In 483 games in the AHL with Binghamton, Hershey, Hartford, and Houston, Nycholat has scored 55 goals and 218 assists for 273 points and 722 penalty minutes. He helped the Bears capture the Calder Cup in 2006 with 14 points in 16 post-season games and was named to the AHL All-Star Classic in both 2005 and 2006.
