Albany River Rats News Release

ALBANY, NY - The Albany River Rats players and coaching staff will continue their holiday tradition of donating and delivering holiday gifts to the children of the St. Anne Institute Pre School program Monday, December 8, 2008 from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm. The team will also present the children with special "Horton Hears A Who" Santa Hats courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. The Institute's Pre School program is designed to meet the needs of three and four year-old children whose speech, language or behavioral problems could play a part in future education failure, and is structured to ensure that the children receive the specialized care they require.

The River Rats, who are providing gifts to the children for the eighth consecutive year, will travel to the St. Anne Institute, located at 160 North Main Avenue in Albany. The team will meet the children in the conference room at the St. Anne Institute, which can be reached at (518) 437-6500.

The River Rats host the Norfolk Admirals for the second straight game at 7:00 pm on Friday night, December 5th at the Times Union Center. Albany will then hit the road two games this weekend in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Rochester.
