
Worcester Sharks host "Hat & Mittens Holiday Skate with the Sharks"

WORCESTER-Worcester Sharks President and C.E.O. Michael T. Lehr announced today that the Worcester Sharks will be hosting their third annual Hat & Mittens Holiday Skate with the Sharks presented by Fidelity Investments at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 7 at the DCU Center. The skate will follow the Sharks vs. Portland Pirates game, which starts at 4:05 p.m.
The Hat & Mittens Holiday Skate with the Sharks is free and open to the public. All participants are kindly asked to bring a new winter hat, mittens or scarf with them to the event, as all collected items will be donated to Community Health Link, Inc. of Worcester. The evening will also include festive holiday music, free hot chocolate and cookies, and there will even be a special visit from Santa Claus.
"This holiday event is a wonderful opportunity for families looking to do something for those in need, and they can do it while enjoying the excitement of a Worcester Sharks Hockey game," said Michael T. Lehr, Worcester Sharks President and C.E.O.
Fans will have the opportunity to skate with their favorite Worcester Sharks, including newly acquired NHL-veteran Claude Lemieux. During that time, fans of all ages will receive autographs, take photos and get to know the players of the Worcester Sharks. Please note that skate rentals will not be available. The holiday skate will be held from 6:30 -7:30 p.m. following the Sharks home game against the Pirates.
The Sharks will travel to Manchester to battle the Monarchs on Friday, December 5th at 7:30p.m., and then return home to for Sunday's contest against Portland at 4:05p.m.
