
Lightning Reassign D Quick and RW Lawrence to Admirals

NORFOLK, VA - The Tampa Bay Lightning, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have reassigned defenseman Kevin Quick and right wing Chris Lawrence to the Admirals from the ECHL Augusta Lynx, it was announced today by Admirals General Manager Mike Butters.
Quick, a 6-foot-0, 175-pound defenseman, led the Lynx in scoring with two goals, four assists and ten penalty minutes in 18 games. The 20-year-old made his professional debut with Norfolk last season, registering four assists and six penalty minutes in 18 games.
Prior to joining Norfolk last season, Quick had two goals and two assists in 21 games with the University of Michigan Wolverines. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the third round (78th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft out of The Salisbury School in Connecticut.
Lawrence, a 6-foot-4, 217-pound right wing, had one goal and two assists with 25 penalty minutes in seven games with the Lynx. The 21-year-old has appeared in ten games for the Admirals this season, registering one assist and nine penalty minutes. The second-year pro has skated in 63 career American Hockey League games - all with Norfolk - and has scored five goals and 12 assists with 41 penalty minutes.
Lawrence was drafted by the Lightning in the third round (89th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He split his junior hockey career between the Sault St. Marie Greyhounds and the Mississauga IceDogs of the OHL, scoring 88 goals and 117 assists with 295 penalty minutes over four seasons. He also represented Canada at the 2005 World U-18 Championships, scoring a goal in six games.
