
River Cats Open 2013 with Eight-Game Homestand

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Sacramento River Cats kick off their 14th season in Sacramento on Thursday, April 4 with an eight-game homestand against the New York Mets Triple-A affiliate Las Vegas 51s and the Seattle Mariners Triple-A affiliate Tacoma Rainiers. The homestand will feature numerous promotions including two fireworks shows, a silent jersey auction for charity, a free parking night and two different giveaways.
Thursday, April 4 vs. Las Vegas 51s - 7:05 p.m. - Opening Day
- Cling Schedule Giveaway presented by Raley's & Bel Air : The first 7,500 fans through the gates will receive a free Sacramento River Cats cling schedule.
- Miller Lite Thirsty Thursday : Get $2 12-ounce Miller and Miller Lite beer.
Friday, April 5 vs. Las Vegas 51s - 7:05 p.m.
- Fireworks Friday : Enjoy a fireworks display after the game.
Saturday, April 6 vs. Las Vegas 51s - 7:05 p.m.
- Sutter Health Fireworks Saturday : Sutter Health will once again be partnering with the Cats to bring you fireworks across the Sacramento skyline after all 11 Saturday home games in 2013.
- Autism Awareness Night : Help support autism awareness by bidding on special game-worn River Cats jerseys in a silent auction.
- Thunderstick Giveaway presented by Jiffy Lube : The first 2,500 fans to arrive will receive free thundersticks, courtesy of Jiffy Lube.
- Lexus of Roseville Grand Slam Saturday Sweepstakes : Win a free two-year lease on a Lexus if the River Cats hit a grand slam in the eighth inning by signing up at Lexus of Roseville.
Sunday, April 7 vs. Las Vegas 51s - 1:05 p.m.
- Art Day : Raley Field will host interactive art booths and honor area students whose drawings were chosen for the 2013 River Cats "Art of Baseball" calendar.
- U.S. Bank Sunday Funday : Kids of all ages will enjoy pregame player autographs, face painters and balloon artists, and the opportunity to "Run the Bases" on the field after every Sunday home game.
Monday, April 8 vs. Tacoma Rainiers - 7:05 p.m.
- Throwback Monday presented by Cache Creek : The players will be wearing throwback Sacramento Solons jerseys and hats, popcorn and peanuts are just 50 cents each, and Gus the Organ Guy will entertain the crowd with vintage organ music.
Tuesday, April 9 vs. Tacoma Rainiers - 7:05 p.m.
- Toyota Family Value Tuesdays : All fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and $1 desserts every Tuesday throughout the River Cats season.
Wednesday, April 10 vs. Tacoma Rainiers - 7:05 p.m.
- Free Parking Wednesdays presented by Jiffy Lube : Parking in lots controlled by Raley Field is 100% free.
Thursday, April 11 vs. Tacoma Rainiers - 7:05 p.m.
